Sandals Royal Caribbean Review

This past week I spent four great days at Sandals Royal Caribbean in Montego Bay, Jamaica.  After clearing customs in Montego Bay I promptly made my way to the Sandals arrival lounge.  I wasn't even there 10 minutes and they called our name for departure to Sandals Royal Caribbean. The best part about this resort is that it is less than a 15 minute ride from the airport to the resort.

Upon arrival at the resort I was promptly escorted into the new Club Sandals lounge.  If you are a returning guest, this use to be the old concierge lounge.  In the lounge you will see games, ipads, and so much more!  The other great feature they are offering is Kindle rentals!  Upon completing all of our paperwork we were escorted to our room the Crystal Lagoon One Bedroom Butler Suite with Private Stairway by our Butler Philips.  He gave me a run down of all the features of butler service (unpacking luggage, customized in room bar, and so much more).

My first night there I went to the Cricketeer's Pub for dinner, which was absolutely fantastic.  I had the Banger's & Mash, which is sausage and mash potatoes.  Due to an early morning, I turned in quite early this evening.

My second day there, I just wanted to lounge around and check out the features of the resort.  Each time I have Butler service I try to test out my Butlers and see how far I can push them!  I asked Philips to provide me with a beach chair that lays completely flat.  That morning I was surprised with the nice wooden beach chairs that laid completely flat all done up and awaiting my arrival with a fully stocked cooler.  For lunch that day I tried the Calzone from the Pizza oven, which as always was fantastic.  Other than lunch and my fully stocked cooler, it was quite a relaxing day beach side with periodic visits from Philips who was always getting me to try a new drink!  That evening, I visited the Royal Thai restaurant which is the restaurant out on the island.  If you like Thai food, you will definitely love this restaurant!  I would recommend to everyone that they eat here once on their trip, but make sure to take bug spray!

The third day of my stay I spent the morning visiting another resort (don't worry you will get that full report next week) and lounging beach side on my flat beach chairs!  Danae our other butler made sure to decorate our chairs and provide us with the same great service that Philips offered our first two days!  That evening, I went to dinner at the Regency Restaurant because I was unable to get into the French Restaurant (La Jardinier) until 9:00PM.  I was pretty disappointed, because I love their french onion soup.  Have no fear, because my Butler Denae arranged for me to have a cup of the soup during my dinner at the Regency!  I also tried their fresh Caribbean Rock lobster and Garlic Shrimp, which as always does not disappoint.

The fourth and final day of my trip was quite relaxing and cloudy.  We were fortunate that Denae got us a prime spot near a hut  on the beach in case it rained.  It did rain most of the day, but I did manage to enjoy my time on the beach under the hut!  I did spend a lot of time in the jacuzzi that day and met some great people from Arkansas (4 woman), who were on a mother daughter trip.  They decided to go to Sandals for their trip, so they weren't hit on by any other men and got to enjoy an adult only resort.  For all you mother and daughters out there, don't roll out Sandals resorts for your mother/daughter getaways.  That evening I ventured over to Sandals Montego Bay for dinner at Cucina Romana (Italian Restaurant).  I had the Bruchetta, Salad, and the Alfredo.   This restaurant was the highlight of my dining experience.  We even had a chance to visit with Thomas their new chef!  While waiting for our shuttle I got to experience some of the great night life at Sandals Montego Bay, which included a how well do you know your spouse/significant other competition and a great musical display.  Sandals Montego Bay is a great resort if you are looking to party, but you will have the noise of the planes.

On my departure I opted to do the Club MoBay package, which is a FastTrack through Security and lounge access at Club MoBay.  I can say without a shadow of a doubt that the Club MoBay FastTrack is completely worth it!  I was through security and customs within 10 minutes compared to the very long line that other people had to go through (my estimation was at least an half hour in length)!   Good news is that Club MoBay is offering a Bundle service that will allow you to FastTrack both on arrival, departure, and give you club access on departure for a very reasonable price.  Make sure to contact us today for more information!

Below is a video of my room!  I hope you enjoyed!
